What the tool does

How to use

  • Paste or type your text into the Input box (a blank line starts a new subtitle block).
  • Adjust writing direction, line length, duration per subtitle, and SRT line mode in the sidebar.
  • Upload an FCPXML title template exported from Final Cut Pro. To create one: add a title clip to an empty timeline in FCP, then File → Share → Final Cut Pro XML…. FCP saves it as a .fcpxmld package — right-click (or Control-click) it in Finder, choose "Show Package Contents", and upload the info.fcpxml file inside (rename it if you like).
  • Click "Convert & Preview", then "Download FCPXML".
  • Import the FCPXML file as XML into Final Cut Pro.

Additional information

This tool is completely free and runs directly in your browser. Your text never leaves your computer.

The generated FCPXML file creates a title clip that can be edited further inside Final Cut Pro (position, duration, font size, etc.).
